Partnering with C-SPAN
The Symposium on the Nineteenth Century Press, the Civil War, and Free Expression has not only produced nine book publications, but shared other important content from its annual conference as well. In 2020, the Symposium partnered with C-SPAN for the recording and later broadcast of six panel presentations on a variety of topics also of interest to historians.
Please see below links to these lively discussions and a special interview with the late Dr. David Sachsman describing his collaboration with David Bulla in authoring the publication, Sensationalism: Murder, Mayhem, Mudslinging, Scandals, and Disasters in 19th-Century Reporting.
